Why Your St. Charles, MO, Window Exteriors Need Cleaning

There are many advantages of keeping your home's exterior windows clean, both physically and mentally. Here, we've outlined the main ones you can look forward to:

Natural Light

Allowing additional natural light into your home can make a big difference. The most obvious advantage is that you'll have more light! With clear windows, no stains will obstruct the light entering your home.

With more natural light, you can decrease energy usage, decreasing your energy bills. It can also help raise your mood and health quality, due to the additional Vitamin D.

Curb Appeal

Whether you're looking to boost real estate value before listing on the market or just have the sharpest looking house on the street, clean windows are essential. Both when it's you looking out and when it's others looking at your home, a clean view is essential.

The first time someone visits your home, you don't want them to be thinking about stains and dirt. Staying on top of your window cleaning will protect your image and make everyone feel more at ease.

Improved Window Condition

Dirt increases wear and tear, while cleaning reduces it. It's really not any more complicated than that. More gunk leads to more friction, and if you get mold, that can degrade the structure of your windows.

When you clean your windows properly and regularly, they last longer, stopping you from needing to buy replacements. And with our 18-month mold-free guarantee, you can rest easy that your clean windows will last for the long haul. If any mold sprouts back up within the 18 months, we'll give your windows another cleaning, for free.

Advantages of Hiring Professional Window Washers

Interior windows and exterior windows are different in this regard. It's reasonable for most people to clean their own window interiors, and it's a good idea to do so often. Exterior windows, on the other hand, provide unique obstacles that make it important to call in the pros. Our cleaners are OSHA-trained and certified, and have extensive experience cleaning windows and homes in the St. Charles area.

When working with a professional St. Charles, MO, window cleaner, you can take advantage of the following benefits:

  • Specialized tools like our water-fed pole system that can provide quality cleans for all of your home's windows.
  • Proprietary, eco-friendly cleaning formulas that are higher quality than the kinds available to ordinary consumers.
  • Safely reach high spots and avoid injury from falling off of an unsteady ladder.
  • Save time and use it for something fun or productive – plus, we can often take care of the job faster.
  • Find issues that are easy to miss: Small cracks, chips in the glass, damaged seals, or other warning signs you'll want to be aware of.
  • A better clean than you can get on your own. Our goal is to make your windows as clean as new.

Hiring a professional window cleaner is about quality, but it's more than that. Your time, your well-being, and your home maintenance all benefit from working with the experts. And at CleanPro, we take pride in giving you the best windows on the block.

Differences Between Washing Exterior Windows and Other House Exterior Cleaning

For the layperson, you might not be able to identify what to differently with window cleaning versus the rest of your house. But washing each part of your house the right way is essential to properly take care of your home.

Soft Washing Your St. Charles, MO, Home's Exteriors

House soft washing is a method we use to clean your home's exteriors, from panel siding to bricks, and almost anything else homes are made of. Instead of using the intense power of an ordinary pressure-wash, soft washing uses lower water pressure, greatly reducing the chance of your home being damaged during the cleaning.

Instead of depending on pressure to wash contaminants off your house, we use our exclusive cleaning formula to loosen and remove contaminants, making it easy for the water to wash, without needing pressure.

Exterior Window Washing Via Water-Fed Pole Systems

For exterior window cleaning, we use an innovative water-fed pole system to clean your windows quickly and effectively. It actually works similarly to softwashing, in that it also avoids high levels of water pressure and mostly makes use of chemical cleaners. What makes the water-fed pole system unique is that it uses a brush at the end of the pole to wipe your windows and prevent streaks and stains.

Our cleaners always use purified and filtered water to avoid leaving behind new contaminants or any mineral buildup. We can also reach high spots, up to third-floor windows, without climbing a ladder. You get a fast, effective clean, and we stay safe while we're doing the job.

Power Washing for Other Surfaces

Our residential power washing services can handle anything that the soft-washing and window washing techniques don't cover. For harder surfaces, tougher stains, and any contaminants that you're at the end of your rope with, we'll look at using pressure washing to give your home the clean it deserves..

Pressure washing is great for cleaning sidewalks, driveways, concrete, many fences and decks, and many other surfaces. If you only clean your home's windows and exterior, you risk a rough contrast with other parts of your property. Cleaning everything at once can save you time and boost your property value.

Here's a list of the different residential cleaning services we offer at CleanPro:

St. Charles, MO, Frequently Asked Questions on Exterior Window Cleaning

Even if you already know that your exterior windows need to be cleaned, you might have questions on the specifics: How often should you have them cleaned, and what techniques are safe? Well, we've compiled some of the most common questions from St. Charles, MO, homeowners and answered them for you here:

How often should I wash my exterior windows?

For residential windows, we recommend two cleanings per year. Stores and other businesses usually require more, at least three or four per year.

Should I get my windows cleaned in winter?

Yes! While your cleanings could take place any season, winters tend to be particularly dirty for windows. Washing in the winter or early in the spring limits wear and tear from the winter dirt.

Should I wash windows and siding at the same time?

You can – keep in mind that you won't want to use the same cleaning method, though. Professional cleaners will be equipped for both your windows and siding, and can take care of both at the same time.

Is it safe to pressure wash windows?

Generally, no. While it's technically possible to use a pressure washer on a window without damaging it, if used improperly or with excess pressure, it can scratch and break the glass.

How do professionals clean windows?

Professional window cleaners use gentle water and powerful cleaning agents to wash window exteriors. With our water-fed pole system, at CleanPro, we work hard to make your windows as clear as possible.

Should I wash my windows' interiors at the same time as their exteriors?

Yes – if you want to reap the benefits of having better natural light in your home, both sides of your windows need to be clean and clear.
