What Is House Power Washing?

House power washing in Forest Park, MO, uses pressurized—often heated—water to lift heavy buildup from durable, non-painted surfaces. Think oil, rubber, salt, and baked-on grime on concrete, brick, stone, and pavers. It’s different from soft washing, which uses low pressure and detergents for paint, trim, and roofing. On most jobs, we soft-wash the house and power-wash the hardscapes so everything looks even and stays cleaner longer.

Who Power Washing Is For

Power washing pays off when you’re maintaining, listing, or managing a property. Who benefits most:

Homeowners: maintain a cared-for look, prep easily for photos or inspections, and protect the longevity of paint, roofing, and exterior surfaces.

Property managers & HOAs: keep entry areas tidy and slip-resistant, handle algae where shade lingers, and follow a simple, repeatable maintenance rhythm.

Light commercial: spaces like restaurants, storefronts, and parking garages where looks and safety go hand in hand.

Home Power Washing in Forest Park, MO - Deck Cleaning Services and Pressure Washing

Why Hire Local Forest Park, MO, Pros for House Power Washing?

Hiring local pros prevents costly mistakes and keeps your place in good shape. Around St. Louis, heat, humidity, shade, and freeze–thaw make runoff control and a consistent finish trickier than they look. We match method to material, tune chemistry to the surface, and manage water so plants, paint, and foundations stay safe.

CleanPro applies the right approach on each surface: soft wash for paint and trim; wood-safe pressure for decks and fences; pretreat plus rotary clean for concrete and pavers; and low-pressure, shingle-safe treatments on roofs. We control water using smart hose runs, rinses that follow the grade, and vacuum recovery on hardscapes when it matters. We safeguard landscaping with pre-wet treatments, shielding, and other methods to avoid harm to shrubs and turf.

Enjoy a uniform clean that lasts season to season—no damage, no streaks, no hassle.

Seasonal Patterns

Weather in Forest Park has a big impact on your home’s exterior. In the spring, you might be dealing with pollen films on your windows, patio furniture, and siding, plus leftover salt and winter grime on steps, porches, and walkways, and algae waking up on the north and east sides. Summer heat and humidity can accelerate that growth on shaded walls and lower courses; roof streaks may darken, and patios pick up everyday spills—sunscreen, grease, and drinks—that set into porous surfaces like concrete and pavers.

Fall brings leaf tannins that stain concrete and pavers; mud can spatter lower siding/fences, and entries often get slick after rain. Winter adds salt and ice-melt marks on driveways/walks, while freeze–thaw drives grime into hairline cracks and shade can sustain mildew. We align cleaning schedules with these trends to extend results.

Home Power Washing in Forest Park, MO - Fence Pressure Washing in STL

Benefits of Forest Park, MO, House Power Washing

Think whole property, not just siding. A balanced soft-wash + power-wash approach slows organic regrowth, shields finishes, improves footing on walkways, and evens out concrete and pavers—so curb appeal lasts from season to season.

  • Reduce regrowth: knock back algae/mildew by treating the source
  • Protect finishes: roof- and paint-safe techniques keep surfaces intact
  • Safer underfoot: lift residue and slick spots from decks, steps, and entry areas
  • Uniform look: create consistent color and tone on the front approach and hardscapes

Roof Cleaning

Dark streaks on shingles come from living growth that retains heat and moisture. With Roof cleaning, we apply a shingle-safe mix at low pressure, keeping granules intact and cutting off streaks that feed onto fresh siding. Expect a cleaner roof edge and fewer runoff trails after storms.

Fence Washing

UV and overspray speed oxidation and algae growth. Fence washing resets the surface so coatings last longer and edges read crisp. It evens panel color for a cleaner look from the street.

Deck Washing

Rain pushes stains deeper, not off the surface. Deck washing restores grip on steps, levels traffic patterns, and prepares boards so stain or sealer bonds evenly. Expect surer footing in the next storm.

Driveways

Your largest slab drives the first impression. We pretreat stains, run rotary surface cleaners for a consistent pass, then rinse clean. Driveway cleaning pulls out deep oil, leaf ghosts, and tire arcs so the approach looks uniform in photos.

Porches, Patios & Walkways

Grime settles into porous slabs and shaded sections form film. Porch, patio, and walkway cleaning purges pores, treats joint growth, and protects paver sand to deliver surer footing and an even tone.

Exterior Windows

Even with clean siding, foggy panes drag the look. Exterior window cleaning is the final pass that sharpens daylight indoors and cleans up the read outside. We follow nearby washing with a timed rinse to minimize spots.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of the most common questions we get about house power washing in St. Louis.

How often should I have my house washed?

Plan on a spring reset and a fall refresher; schedule mid-summer service if heavy shade, mature trees, or high foot traffic build grime faster.

What’s the difference between power washing and soft washing?

For dense materials like concrete and brick, power washing uses pressure—often hot water. For finishes, soft washing uses low pressure with detergents on paint, trim, and roofing. We typically soft-wash the structure and power-wash the hardscapes in a single visit.

Will this damage my plants, paint, or windows?

We pre-wet and cover landscaping, soft-wash siding and trim at low pressure, and time a window rinse after adjacent washing to protect finishes and limit spotting.

Do you pressure wash roofs?

No. We use a shingle-safe soft wash on asphalt roofs at low pressure so granules stay put. That treats streaks without shortening roof life.

Can you remove oxidation or “tiger stripes” on vinyl and gutters?

Yes. We use targeted chemistry and a light rinse to address oxidation and gutter streaks; high-pressure spot work creates striping, so we don’t do it.

What should I do before you arrive?

Close windows, clear small items/doormats, and keep pets inside. We manage hose runs, protect sensitive electrical points, and move light furniture when needed.

How long does a typical house wash take?

Most single-family homes wrap in a few hours; size, access, and add-ons (roof, decks, hardscapes) affect timing.

What about runoff and environmental rules?

We control water movement, guard storm drains, and dispose of wastewater according to EPA guidelines. On slabs like driveways and patios, vacuum recovery comes into play when needed.

How do you price a house wash?

Pricing depends on size, access, and the mix of surfaces (siding, roof, decks, hardscapes). We’ll give you a clear quote up front and a simple plan for ongoing maintenance.
