Benefits of Heavy Equipment Cleaning in St. Louis, MO

It's important to maintain your utilities and heavy equipment for a number of reasons. Studies show that clean vehicles and other equipment improve worker safety and performance. Cost is an additional factor. CleanPro cleans fleet vehicles, tractors, loaders, trenchers and other heavy equipment in St. Louis, MO. Here are some other reasons you'd want to take care of your heavy equipment:

  • Maintenance Benefits: Regular cleaning plays a critical role in preventive maintenance. Grime and dirt act as irritants that cause friction in heavy machines. With regular cleaning, the strain on any moving or fixed parts is greatly reduced. Clean machines tend to last longer compared to dirty ones, and they are less challenging to clean regularly rather than allowing dirt and grime to gradually accumulate. Learn more about heavy machine cleaning in St. Louis, MO, and request free quote.
  • Temperature Control: Clean machines operate at significantly lower temperatures compared to those covered in mud and grease. While regulated heat is necessary for heavy machinery, extreme heat can lead to malfunctions. Keeping equipment cool greatly extends its lifespan and prevents mid-operation breakdowns, benefiting both the machinery and workers.
  • Reduced Downtime: Clean construction equipment experiences considerably less downtime. Dirty conditions commonly lead to part failures and breakages, resulting in pricey repairs and significant lost time. Regular maintenance effectively removes foreign objects like rocks and branches from tracks, while clearing heavy, dried sludge from surfaces vastly reduces excessive weight on booms and buckets, reducing the risk of equipment failure and maximizing uptime.
  • Critical Inspection Moment: Cleaning machinery provides a critical opportunity to exhaustively inspect for potential issues. During the cleaning process, mechanics can easily spot metal fatigue cracks, oxidization, rusting, and worn or leaking fittings. Detecting and addressing these concerns early can prevent them from escalating into difficult problems down the line. Cleaning heavy equipment can save you expensive repair costs.
  • Safety Enhancement: Regularly cleaned construction machinery safeguards safety for operators, work crews, and others in the machine's vicinity. Poorly maintained equipment represents hazards such as contaminant buildup around hydraulic and electrical systems, increasing the risk of serious accidents like high-pressure oil blowouts or electrical malfunctions.
  • Elevated Productivity: Mechanics work more efficiently on clean machines. Cleaning removes slippery, volatile, or heavy debris that can cause falls, one of the most common risks on construction sites. Effective washing eliminates objects and buildups that may lead to slips, falls, or workers being caught in machines.

There are various ways CleanPro helps you clean and maintain heavy equipment in St. Louis. Here are a few techniques we employ:

  1. Pressure Washing: Using intense-pressure water jets to get rid of dirt, grime, grease, and other debris from heavy equipment surfaces. This method is extremely efficient for cleaning bulldozers, excavators, loaders, trucks and other heavy machinery.
  2. Oil Dissolution: Employing specialized degreasing agents to annihilate stubborn grease and oil buildup from engine components, undercarriages, and other equipment. Degreasing prevents corrosion.
  3. Steam Treatment: Harnessing steam cleaning machines to penetrate and loosen dirt, grease, and contaminants from hard-to-reach areas of heavy equipment. Steam cleaning is environmentally friendly and extremely powerful for sanitizing surfaces without chemical use.
  4. Sandblasting: Utilizing abrasive materials like sand, grit, or baking soda to blast away rust, paint, and other surface coatings from heavy equipment. Abrasive blasting is ideal for priming surfaces for repainting or coating applications.
  5. Environmental Cleaning: We implement eco-friendly cleaning practices to minimally reduce the impact on surrounding ecosystems and water sources with every project. This involves using biodegradable detergents and capturing and containing wastewater throughout the cleaning process.
